About:

The Taalim School of Indian Music, is an arts organization dedicated to the promotion of Indian classical arts and using the performing arts as a means for cultural exchange and understanding. Our goal is to reach out to as many educational organizations as possible, to schedule one of our assemblies or workshops, in order expose the students to global art forms.

Seasoned teaching artists through performance and student interactions can make the arts come alive and instill an appreciation in students for art forms that are unfamiliar to them. Our Indian dance and drumming programs, which include assemblies catered to age of the students, and workshops for smaller groups have curriculum links to Social Studies, Cultural Understanding, Math, and Physical Education (for dance).

Our most popular assembly includes 2 - 3 teaching artists and brings together dance and music.

If you think that bringing a quality Indian arts program would enrich your organiztion's students' arts and academic experience, we would be more than happy to work with you.  References are available upon request.
